It's a nice looking app. but it needs more controls. there should be a proper "bedtime" or "clock only" mode that basically stops kids from turning stories back on in the middle of the night. I will set a 15min countdown timer, which stops playback. they just reinsert the card and carry on!! a gradual volume fade wouldn't go amiss either. Podcasts also need sorting, they never play for more than 2 minutes before randomly stopping.

Hi Alex - the best way to influence the product is to contribute to or vote on ideas on our community site at https://yoto.space . We listen and make changes based on what will make the biggest impact to the most. Podcasts are streamed content, if they stop that would point to network bandwidth or the player is too far from your router.

Opening the app is a roulette. 30% change the yoto instantly and loudly crashes. thanks, white noise machine, for waking baby. 30% chance it can't find the yoto, but remembers what you set it to play, and now decides that probably what you want if play that song on your phone. yes I'm sure that's what nobody ever wanted. the rest of the time it just takes forever to relay instructions to your device.

Unfortunately app is unusable, new WiFi credentials. The phone connects to the gen 2 yoto player via it's hotspot but once connected, during the yoto players WiFi scan, it doesn't display any SSIDs in the app. Either the Player is self is no longer able to perform the WiFi scan (bad firmware update?) or the Android apps connection flow has been broken in an update, let's hope it's the latter I'll try on iOS!

Sorry to hear that! The scan not returning networks could be a player fault, could be no compatible networks nearby or the phone is dropping the hotspot. You can reset the player to return to its original fw to reconnect (there are no known issues in both the app or the player) or you can contact us hello@yotoplay.com or me direct ed@yotoplay.com
