About this app

The official app for Divvy, Chicago’s bike share system.

Divvy consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bikeshare is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city.

The Divvy App gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going.

The Divvy App also shows upcoming public transit departures, including CTA ‘L’ train lines, local & express buses, shuttle buses, the Jeffery Jump Bus, Metra trains, PACE buses and the South Shore Line train.

Within the app, you can purchase the following Divvy passes:

Would have appreciated more clear verbiage that the day pass DOES NOT cover ebikes BEFORE I purchase it, not after. It would have been fine if the classic bikes were okay but they were beyond bad to ride.

I wish I could give this app zero stars! I was overcharged for an 8 minute ride and the ai bot that they have you chat with (customer service) didnt even provide assistance. I had proof and timestamps but was charged almost $20 for a $8 ride. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't recommend using this way of traveling at all unless you want to be robbed of your money.

The renting part is okay. However, the navigation needs work. First, it should allow us to see where the restricted zones are before renting. I rented a scooter, and it stopped working because I did not know I was in a restricted zone. I had to lug the scooter to the closest parking spot. Also, the navigation between two stations is not great. It led us to a multi-story path and told us to walk up the stairs. I also think they should make it easier to choose between two stations when planning.
